About us

Above all things, the community of Feed The Future Incorporated is close-knit. We all assist one another when they are in need. When hunger is a daily companion, living in NYC becomes even more challenging. In light of this, Feed The Future Incorporated envisions a city where every citizen, irrespective of affiliation or financial level, has enough access to wholesome food operated as Bona’s Soup Kitchen. According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), low and very low food security is defined as reports of reduced quality, variety, or desirability of diet that may also disrupt eating patterns and reduce food intake.

Thousands of New Yorkers face difficult nutritional and financial choices each day that have an impact on their quality of life. These choices shouldn't be necessary for anyone. Knowing the seriousness of such choices forces us to act. To comprehend the gravity of these choices, we as residents of Brooklyn must push the subject of food insecurity into the public eye.

The mission of Feed The Future Incorporated is to help food-insecure New York City people by supplying them with wholesome prepared meals (hot and/or cold) and raising awareness of the existence of food insecurity in Brooklyn and across NYC by improving, whenever feasible, the nutritional value of the food accessible to citizens who are food insecure but lack access to such food due to socioeconomic conditions.
